Creating an Elegant Candle Set on a Budget

 

It can only take a few minutes to create lovely, glam, decorative candles on a budget. Make a set for yourself or as an elegant gift. Using two clear white inexpensive candles which you can pick up in any discount store, dollar store or grocery store, take whatever scraps you have on hand like fabric, lace, flowers, buttons, whatever you have, and you can easily create this decorative set.

In my set, I used a couple pieces of lace-covered burlap and hot-glued them to the candles. I then added a tied bow of a sheer white with polka dots. I don't normally care for dots and that's why I still had the material in my box, but I felt in this instance it would go well and add a nice uplifting whimsy to the burlap. Next I added a bow on each of jute twine. I finished them off by stuffing little silk flower bunches into the bows.

This project literally took me about ten minutes and I had a beautiful set of candles. The possibilities are almost endless and your creation will be unique based on your ideas and what you have on hand. It was really fun making these and I know that you will have fun with these too.
