Spring Re-Style with Bo-ho Jewelry

It's fun to get ready for spring, albeit a little early but depending on your location, maybe not. However this outfit can really work any time unless it's really cold but usually as I move from winter to spring clothing, I use a pale or neutral color as a transitional color. This cream/beige set I put together was just the right combination for an uplifting trend into spring.

Restyling clothing is something I enjoy. One reason I do it is that it is rare I find something I like enough to spend the money on it. Another reason is that it allows me to be creative and to add my own touch of style. I can usually turn something bland or unattractive into something beautiful, and all for pennies. Thrift stores and yard sales offer all the clothing you need to start re-styling your own fresh pieces suited perfectly to your style and you really don't have to be a seamstress to do it. A few simple changes or additions, tucks or clips here and there can be all that you need to re-style a piece of clothing.

In this case, I took what I felt was a really squirrely polyester pullover top with more the thickness of a sweater and gave it a whole new look. It had short leaves that I did not like and it fit tight into a band around the waist which I also don't like. I cut a couple inches off the bottom and fringed it. I cut out the sleeves and tied them with material I had cut off the bottom. I then paired it with a cute pair of spring pants and sandals and added jewelry pieces which I also made that perfectly match in tones of beige. One is a spirit necklace with a tassel and one is a sand dollar (Available in my shop. Though this spirit necklace is not available I do have many similar ones available).

If you can do simple re-styles and start making some of your own jewelry pieces, you will never have to go without a great outfit, no matter your budget. Have fun and see what you can come up with.
