Man-Sweater Re-Purposed into Women's Fall Wrap.

Today I took a huge men's sweater and re-purposed it completely into a woman's wrap. It was likely late 70s -early 80s, the really squirrely kind with suede patches on it. Someone had given it to my husband and of course he politely took it and it's been in the closet two years. Yeah right. You know, something your uncle would wear if he had a law degree and smoked a pipe.

Originally I wanted the suede, but once I started cutting I became way more interested in the sweater. I cut out the suede patches and saved them for another project. I removed the collar and cuffs.

Side view

It hangs longer and pointy in the front, shorter and cropped in the back.

Ties
I made ties for the front.

Back with V-neck
It is off-the-shoulder and a v-neck in back.

I love it! It is warm, comfy and snuggly.
