Faux Fur/Suede Sweater Re-purposed into Bags

This was an older sweater I found, a giveaway. It was too small for me, outdated, with a small stain so I re-purposed it into two bags. It had faux fur and suede and of course regular knit sweater material. I have made one bag out of the faux fur and suede, and am making another out of the knit.

Front

The first bag is finished. I couldn't decide on the faux fur or the faux suede so I did the front in the suede look and the back in the fur look. It has a Velcro fastener. It measures about 8x9 in. 

Back

This is the plan for the second bag. It is just laid out the way I will sew it. I will add a stiff cord inside the material for the handle and wrap it. I will add the vintage-looking button for a tie closure. I have made a lining out of a fairly stiff material and will insert it into the bag.
