May is just around the corner and brings warm weather, beautiful flowers, Mother’s Day, and sunshine. I have been busy, busy making lots of beauty to share as well as bringing in more ways to share that beauty with you from Designs by Cheryl B.. New, starting this month, will be a monthly newsletter/update that will include my newest creations, inspiration and beauty, tips, style and seasonal ideas to bring you a bit of information and share some beauty.  I also plan to do some giveaways and get the newsletter onto my website. 

Books & Journals 

Angel Keepsake Journal - Junk Journal/Scrapbook

With my love of writing, I have added several handmade journals and scrapbooks to my shop and will be continuing to add more. They are beautifully hand-decorated with all sorts of doo-dads, vintage ribbons or buttons, and come in various themes. I have to say the fairy and the angel books are my favorites. Keep mementos, journal and note your special days and save your special finds. These make lovely mother’s day gifts for mom to keep.

Southwest Cross on Simple Chain

In the jewelry department, I have also gone back to some basic jewelry pieces this month with several gorgeous crosses on simple chains. Some are southwest in design, others are ornate, so there is a dressy feel yet a simplistic appeal. 

Wellness/Beauty/Skincare

Lavender Amethyst-Infused Spritzer and Soothing Amethyst Bath Stones

There is a new section for wellness in my shop. It includes my skincare line and other items but also includes my new Lavender Amethyst-Infused Spritzer and Soothing Amethyst Bath Stones. Let the lavender spritzer cool and relax you on a warm or stressful day. Comes with a raw amethyst stone inside the bottle. The amethyst bath stones add their relaxing vibrational energy to your bath water. Add one or a handful and sit back and soak. Both items make beautiful gifts.

Yesteryear Victorian Vanilla Rose Potpourri

The air is scented here with my lovely Yesteryear Victorian Vanilla-Rose Potpourri. Smells wonderful. Beautifully decorated large or small bags, ready to gift or fill your home with subtle scents and beauty. It is light and frilly, feminine. Perfect for Spring. 

Herbal Tip

Make your own warm-weather spritzers in your favorite scent.

1 small one-ounce glass bottle

*Favorite essential oil

Distilled water.

Pour the water into the bottle. Add 30-45 drops of your favorite oil (go slowly, checking the scent as you go so as not to overdo), put the lid on and shake. Spray as desired. 

*Be sure to use quality essential oils and to avoid face and eye area.

Taupe-Colored Geode/Gemstone Necklace available in my shop

Restyling garments is easy and fun. This gray fringe top had a tacky elastic waistband and was outdated. I took out the waistband and added some fringe for a perkier look and a softer flow. Paired here with dark gray slacks and cute, cute, cute cork wedges with sparkling silver. The look is complete with two of my geode necklaces in matching colors. You can easily create your own updated spring and summer re-styles with just a little imagination and a pair of scissors.
