Autumn Scents and November Decor Using Burlap and Sachets

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and that means the house needs to be cleaned and freshened. Guests will be arriving so add a touch of autumn cheer to your home with some of my fall decor and heavenly autumn scents. I love to decorate to make others feel comfortable and welcome so I am always coming up with new ideas, and of course, falling back on the tried and true. I use these year after year in a variety of scents and styles.

Start out with this set of cedar-filled decorative burlap bag with an autumn greeting and it's matching vanilla potpourri. Set around the room or as a centerpiece in a dish, or use as a hostess gift.

These tiny fall cedar sachets also make a nice display and are subtly and naturally scented.

All of these and many others may be found in my shop online.

If you prefer to make your own autumn or Thanksgiving sachets, they are easy and fun. Make some little bags out of burlap. These may be sewn or if you're not up to sewing, then they may be hot-glued. Fill with ground cedar chips or your favorite potpourri and tie with pretty ribbons. I also used raffia on the sachet bags to add more of the country look.

Whether you purchase or make them yourself, have fun decorating and scenting your home for you and your loved ones this November.
