Up-cycling/Redesigning an Old Shirt

This shirt was given to me but I did not like the style. In my opinion it is outdated, nor do I like collars or sleeves and I like a tighter fit.

The material itself however is a wonderful woven cotton with beautiful and colorful embroidery. A wonderful textile too good to waste.

So I set out to up-cycle and re-purpose a bit. I cut out the sleeves. I cut off the top layer of the collar (it still has a slim collar and the collar button). I then added a turquoise scarf around the waste to make up for the looser fit as I do not have access to a machine right now to take in the sides.

The finished shirt now sports a completely different look and is much more stylish.
